Job Purpose
The Head of Talent Management is responsible for driving the company’s talent strategy, leadership development, learning & development, and overall talent management. This role focuses on fostering a high-performance culture, enhancing employee engagement, and developing initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals. The position will play a critical role in ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while continuously improving workplace productivity and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Management:
- Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop high-potential employees.
- Develop, implement and facilitate mobility initiatives to aid employees’ professional growth while aligning to business needs.
- Create and oversee succession planning frameworks and implementation of effective intervention for succession readiness to ensure business continuity.
- Establish and refine competency frameworks to align with organizational needs.
- Utilize HR analytics to assess talent gaps and workforce planning.
- Act as Secretariat to Talent Council
Learning & Development:
- Design and oversee employee learning and development initiatives and setting up of a state of the art Sime Darby Property Learning Academy, ensuring alignment with future business needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and refine them based on feedback and performance outcomes.
- Design upskilling and reskilling initiatives to produce a future-ready workforce.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance through structured programs.
Leadership Development:
- Lead the annual Succession Review exercise to manage succession risks for critical roles.
- Lead the development planning and assessment exercise for successors and C-suites to help strengthen readiness for more complex roles.
- Foster leadership capabilities through executive coaching and mentorship initiatives.
- Promote a leadership culture that aligns with Sime Darby Property’s Employee Value Proposition and TEAM Values.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership on cultural and behavioral shifts to align with TEAM values.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in talent management, learning & development, or leadership development.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing leadership development and change management initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and talent management strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in HR analytics and reporting.
