
Assistant Manager - Compliance
Summary
To assist the Head of Department (HOD) in effectively managing compliance risks by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks, while ensuring the seamless integration of regulatory requirements into internal processes for conformance. The role will support ethical conduct, uphold a strong commitment to high standards of governance, integrity, and accountability, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, including the Anti-Bribery and Corruption (MACC Act 2009) and other relevant local and international regulations. Additionally, the role will collaborate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of anti-bribery and corruption prevention strategies, policies, training programs, and awareness initiatives. This position will also support internal audits, monitor compliance activities, and act as a liaison between key stakeholders to promote a culture of transparency, ethics, and responsible business practices across all levels of the organization
Job Responsibilities
1. Assist the HOD in identifying, evaluating, and managing risks within the organization, ensuring that risks are proactively mitigated
2. Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of strategies, policies, and procedures aimed at preventing bribery and corruption within the organization
3. Coordinate and support the creation and delivery of compliance awareness and training programs to employees, fostering a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct
4. Promote and maintain the organization’s commitment to high standards of governance, ethics, and integrity
5. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare periodic compliance reports to the Management
6. Assist with the compliance gap analysis and review programs
7. Develop and implement periodic compliance testing
8. Initial reviewer for company’s Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Requirements
1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management/Accountancy/Finance/Business Management or any related field.
2. 5 - 7 years of working experience preferably in the field of Risk Management, Compliance and/or Integrity roles.
3. Knowledge of ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) and ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management
4. Sound understanding of the regulations & laws relating to corruption and bribery particularly the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act (MACC) is an added advantage
5. Knowledge of audit practices and the ability to conduct compliance audits and assessments to ensure the organization’s adherence to policies and regulatory requirements
6. Excellent business writing and presentation skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,019.96 - RM6,400.00 per month
