RESPONSIBILITIES Must be fully committed to working safely and to accepting responsibility for the safety of fellow crew members.  Must be fully committed to prevent damage to the environment and shall work in accordance with client’s HSE Policy and Procedures. Ensure full understands the STOP system and fully participates in this system. Assist Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a risk assessment. Participate along with supervisor in risk assessments. Comply with client’s safety policy and Permit To Work System. Perform maintenance to rig steelwork structure and apply paint systems as directed by the Barge Master. Responsible for the correct storage and proper stock control of the paint inventory. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of paint spraying equipment. Assist with general rig cleaning duties as required by Barge Master. Work with all departments onboard as directed by Barge Master. To participate in the client’s Competence Assurance Scheme. Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions; get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioural extremes; perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor. From time-to-time your immediate supervisor or his supervisor may request your assistance and assign you to do other general duties onboard the drilling rig.
