RESEARCH SCIENTIST

• Technical review of the existing products & initiatives in healthcare and pharmaceutical under subsidiaries company • Undertake product research and market analysis of products. • Review developed IPs and prototypes by UM. • Provide consultation on the best options and identify possible engagement of technical collaboration with complementary partners locally and overseas. • Develop a Business Development Program for Healthcare & Pharmaceutical with our partners. • Develop a program plan and strategy to promote existing products as well as exploit new commercialization opportunities. • The candidate will carry out the development of CAR-T cell immunotherapy products in a GMP environment. • The candidate will carry out the development of CAR-NK cell immunotherapy products in a GMP environment. • Assist research scientists in experiment planning, execution and manufacturing of immune cells. • Need to design, execute and perform immune therapy production experiments independently. • Spearhead the setup of a liaison committee consisting of Professors, Researchers and Developers at UM Faculties involved in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. • Assist UM Faculties to identify designs and research that have potential opportunities for commercialization or product enhancement through collaboration. • Build a database of core IPs and develop a marketing product portfolio. • Establish links with healthcare industry partners in Malaysia and work with the Ministry and local authorities to promote the portfolio. • Develop productive international collaboration with potential global experts in healthcare with a view to identifying key engagement opportunities and partnerships. • Maintain a current understanding of relevant literature and scientific advances relevant to specific projects. • Requirements: • PhD or Master in Biological Sciences, Cancer Research, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Science with minimum of 4 years of experience in post-graduate research and / industry. • Scientific experience and knowledge in microbiology, virology and gene therapy vectors. • Industrial experience, particularly in technology transfer and project development strategies is required. • Advanced computer skills and statistical analyses • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certified is an advantage • Has good knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards for product registration and clinical trial activity. • Possess fluent spoken and written English • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with international collaborations. • Ability to work in a high paced inter-disciplinary and capable of performing work on off shifts. • Willing to be deployed to the company’s respective locations as required to accomplish desired goals and objectives.
