Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager – Accounts to support financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and assist in managing the day-to-day accounting functions. This role involves supervising junior staff, preparing financial reports, managing audits, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, etc.)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and local tax laws
  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants
  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
  • Review and manage payroll processing in coordination with HR
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital
  • Support in implementing and improving financial processes and internal controls
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, and external stakeholders as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) preferred or in progress
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial modeling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
