Key Responsibilities:
Student Support & Welfare
- Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students residing in the hostel.
- Be available during assigned hours to attend to student concerns, emergencies, and welfare needs.
- Monitor and guide students' personal, academic, and social adjustment in hostel life.
- Refer students to appropriate campus support services when necessary (e.g., counseling, medical, academic advisors).
Discipline & Hostel Rules Enforcement
- Ensure students comply with hostel regulations and university code of conduct.
- Take disciplinary action or escalate issues when rules are violated (e.g., noise complaints, curfews, guest policies).
- Maintain confidentiality and fairness when handling disputes or misconduct cases.
- Submit incident reports and maintain proper records.
Community Building & Student Engagement
- Organize or assist in hosting student engagement activities, cultural events, or welcome sessions.
- Encourage a sense of belonging and mutual respect among residents.
- Promote positive peer interactions and responsible behavior in shared living spaces.
Safety & Emergency Response
- Conduct regular rounds or room checks to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are upheld.
- Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies (e.g., medical, fire, safety) and coordinate with security or relevant departments.
- Ensure hostel doors, exits, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are functional and accessible.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain logs of incidents, complaints, maintenance needs, and late returns.
- Submit weekly/monthly reports to the Residents Manager or Hostel Office.
- Attend training sessions, warden meetings, or briefings organized by the university.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Student Affairs, or related field.
- Previous experience working with youth, students, or in residential settings is preferred.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in a student supervisory, hostel, or youth leadership role is advantageous.
- Fresh graduates with leadership experience in student councils or peer mentoring programs are encouraged to apply.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
