MAHSA International School is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and passionate Add Maths/Maths, Business/Economics Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis for 3 months, with the possibility of being offered a full contract based on performance and school needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching Add Maths and Mathematics, or Business Studies, and Economics at the secondary and tertiary school level. This role involves delivering engaging and interactive lessons, with the ability to teach both IGCSE and A-Levels. The candidate must be able to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Add Maths/Mathematics, or Business Studies/Economics across various grade levels.
  • Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans, ensuring that content is appropriate for a diverse range of student abilities.
  • Create and adapt resources to enhance the learning experience and cater to individual student needs.
  • Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including traditional and modern techniques, to ensure effective delivery of curriculum content.

Student Development

  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance through one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions.
  • Motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential in each subject area.

Assessment & Feedback

  • Design and conduct assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement.

Classroom Management

  • Establish clear expectations and maintain a positive, disciplined learning environment.
  • Address academic and behavioral concerns promptly and effectively.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work closely with colleagues to develop engaging lesson plans and school activities.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops for professional growth.

Extracurricular Involvement

  • Contribute to school-wide events, initiatives, and extracurricular activities related to the subjects taught.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
  • Experience teaching at Secondary and Tertiary levels is preferred.
  • Ability to teach either Maths/Additional Maths or Economics/Business Studies.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching is an advantage.

Other Requirements

  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to nurturing student potential.
  • Must be able to teach both IGCSE and A-Levels.
  • Must be able to start immediately.
  • This is a temporary position for 3 months, with the possibility of being offered a full contract.
