
Senior Procurement cum Sourcing Executive
Job description
SOURCING & PURCHASING
· Assist team in RFP /RFQ process including but not limited to provide valuable inputs on which vendor to engage.
· Liaise with suppliers/ sub-con to understand the payment terms and ensure suppliers are well aware on the quality and volume, and able to meet our delivery timeline.
· Assist team to liaise with suppliers/sub-con to obtain various quotations to better evaluate and compare vendors.
· Negotiate with suppliers/ sub-con to secure the best price to minimize costs.
· Work will include but not be limited to research of current state and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities
· Regularly communicate with internal team to update on product status and make sure the product is able to reach on time to minimize project delays
· Ensure a common understanding of requirements and capabilities and build an accurate and reliable forecast for material and sub-contractor services planning
· Coordinate and support sales & marketing requirements in pre-sales & project requirements in after-sales.
· Perform any other related task assigned by immediate superior.
DEVELOPMENT
· Assist team to improve on the procurement process including but not limited to pinpointing and providing suggestions that are aligned to Group policy, ISO Standard, statutory requirements and transparent practices.
· Assist team to develop and implement an internal procurement database to better discover opportunities to save cost, develop effective procurement strategies and identify purchasing patterns.
· Prepare supplier evaluation and measurement report in accordance to set standard level to make better decisions in future.
Requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or any related field.
· Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
· Knowledge in shipping and negotiation techniques with suppliers will be an added advantage.
· Good communication and presentation skills.
· Computer Literate (Microsoft word, Excel & PowerPoint).
· Self-driven, aggressive, dynamic and result oriented.
· Able to work independently and resourceful to resolve the ad-hoc purchasing related problem.
· Proficient in written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
