Job Summary:
An IT Environment Analyst is responsible for managing, coordinating, and maintaining multiple software environments (e.g., development, testing, staging, and production) to ensure smooth software delivery, deployments, and releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support multiple environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Pre-Prod/Prod).
- Coordinate environment provisioning, configuration, and refresh activities.
- Track and resolve environment-related issues across projects.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, and Release Management teams.
- Maintain environment configuration documentation and access control.
- Monitor environment stability and performance.
- Plan for environment capacity, upgrades, and patching.
- Assist in automating environment management tasks using scripts/tools.
Required Skills:
- Experience in Hadoop ecosystem administration.
- Strong knowledge of Cloudera Manager or Ambari, HDFS, YARN, MapReduce.
- Experience with Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, etc.
- Proficient in Linux shell scripting and administration.
- Understanding of Kerberos, LDAP, TLS/SSL, and other Hadoop security mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning, monitoring tools (Grafana, Nagios, etc.).
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and release processes.
- Knowledge of virtualization and containerization tools (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with environment automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong troubleshooting and coordination skills.
- Understanding of ITIL processes is a plus.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in system administration, DevOps, or software testing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
