The Finance Manager is responsible for controlling the finance and accounting function for the business with the objectives of ensuring the Company accurately reports its financial position on a timely basis, keeping compliance integrity, implementing best accounting practices, mitigating risk and ensuring financial controls, and implementing practices to maximize company profitability.

This pivotal role will oversee financial operations, strategize financial planning, and contribute to the overall growth and success of our gym locations across the designated region.

As our Finance Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead financial forecasting and scenario modeling to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to evaluate business plans, investments, and expansion initiatives.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze financial performance and prepare business performance commentary.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for profit maximization and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant authorities.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets across all departments.
  • Review departmental expenditures and provide feedback to ensure alignment with budgeted targets.
  • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining operational effectiveness
  • Monitor cash flow, funding requirements, and liquidity position.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital.
  • Forecast and manage company cash requirements, including capital expenditures and debt obligations.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure robust risk assessment and insurance coverage is in place.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as operations, marketing, and human resources, to align financial goals with overall business objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or ACCA/ CPA is required
  • Must have at least a minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial Analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools; advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Manage and send the reports required including but not limited to sales, accidents, injuries, equipment damages, etc.
  • Follow company protocols for discipline, performance management and safety.
  • Manage compliance to club house rules and SOPs. Notify the club manager or department head of any unsafe acts or conditions as soon as possible.
  • Ensure that all exercise equipment is in good condition. Clean equipment and gym regularly.
  • Participate in safety training and safety inspections.
