Senior Manager - Retail Operations
Job Summary
The Senior Manager - Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of store operations to drive efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer experiences across all store locations. This individual will develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to brand standards. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and support the company's growth.
Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies across the store network.
- Translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans and oversee their successful execution.
- Monitor industry best practices and emerging trends in store operations to maintain a competitive edge.
2. Operational Excellence
- Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive operational policies, procedures, and guidelines for all store locations.
- Ensure consistent implementation and adherence to operational standards, including store presentation, inventory management, loss prevention, and safety protocols.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and manage technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
3. Store Performance Management
- Analyze store performance data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with Regional and Store Managers to provide guidance, support, and resources to optimize store performance.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess operational effectiveness and provide coaching and feedback.
4. Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and maximize inventory turnover.
- Cross collaborate with product and purchasing teams on inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment strategies.
- Implement and monitor inventory control measures and conduct regular audits.
5. Customer Experience
- Champion a customer-centric culture across all store locations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience, including service standards, store environment, and issue resolution.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights.
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering a high-performing and engaged team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Identify training and development needs and implement programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure alignment and support for store operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive overall business success.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Budget Management
- Develop and manage the operational budget for the store network.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources across all store locations.
9. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all store operations comply with relevant legal regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Manage risk and ensure appropriate loss prevention measures are in place.
10. New Store Openings & Special Projects
- Oversee the operational aspects of new store openings, ensuring smooth and efficient launches.
- Lead or participate in special projects related to store operations improvements and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in store operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful operational strategies and driving measurable results.
- Strong understanding of store best practices, including store operations, inventory management, customer service, and loss prevention.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Sound knowledge in store management software and technology.
- Ability to travel to store locations as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
