Title: Senior Finance Executive
Job Summary:
The Senior Finance Executive plays a key role in overseeing and executing financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This position supports the Finance Manager and leadership team in driving sound financial decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
- Support strategic financial planning and budgeting processes across departments.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support business decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Oversee end-to-end processes for invoicing, payments, collections, and reconciliation.
- Manage aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding receivables.
- Review expense reports and ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and internal policies.
- Prepare and review tax computations, submissions, and support audit processes.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, banking activities, and liquidity positions.
- Perform and review regular bank reconciliations and treasury reporting.
- Assist in financial risk assessments and implementation of mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement & Leadership:
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Support the Finance Manager in mentoring junior team members and coordinating tasks.
- Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and provide financial insights to project teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including exposure to full sets of accounts and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, AutoCount) and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently, lead small projects, and collaborate effectively across functions.
