About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager, M&E to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the M&E Manager in ensuring successful planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical and electrical works for our construction projects across Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the M&E team in planning, design review, drawing and equipment submissions.
- Coordinate M&E activities with consultants, subcontractors, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise site activities related to M&E installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning.
- Check and verify monthly progress claims from M&E contractors and suppliers.
- Review quality manuals, specifications, and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Resolve technical issues related to M&E systems with a hands-on approach.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience in data centre projects.
- 8 years of relevant experience in M&E management within construction projects, preferably in commercial buildings.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, and other locations as required by project needs.
- Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or equivalent.
- Willing to work nationwide; accommodation will be provided.
- Able to commit to extended working hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
Job Details:
- Location: Anywhere within Malaysia (project-based)
- Working Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm (Monday to Friday), with flexibility required
- Contract Duration: 1 year (Renewal/Extension possible based on performance)
