Description
Role: SAP Production Planning (PP) Functional Consultant
Budget: Up to 20,000 MYR
Location: Subang, Malaysia
Travel: Ad-hoc visits to Perak plant
Responsibilities:
• Conduct business blueprint workshops focused on SAP Production Planning processes.
• Develop detailed design and complete solutions based on blueprint documentation.
• Prepare Functional Specifications and Design Documents.
• Configure SAP PP processes and guide ABAP developers on WRICEF enhancements.
• Lead data migration efforts for master and transactional data within the PP stream.
• Set up PP master data including MRP, BOMs, routings, work centers/resources, and planning strategies.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues related to Forecasting, Demand Management, MRP, and Shop Floor Execution.
• Deep understanding of planning parameters like safety stock, min/max replenishment, and reorder points is essential.
• Manage SAP-MES interfaces and troubleshoot IDOC processing failures.
• Understand and support Kanban and JIT processes.
• Work on integrated PP & MM processes such as goods movement, backflushing, STOs, and automatic goods receipt.
• Develop and manage LSMW for data load activities.
• Perform cut-over activities and support post go-live operations.
Requirements
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP design, configuration, and implementation.
• Must have completed at least two end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Familiarity with ASAP methodology.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
• Must be capable of creating and reviewing Functional Design Specs, test plans, cut-over plans, and hyper care support independently.
• Ability to clearly express technical concepts in business terms.
• Strong team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Additional Notes:
• Experience in the automobile industry is mandatory.
• While expat profiles may be proposed, priority will be given to local candidates in line with client expectations.
