FINANCE & ACCOUNT MANAGER
Report To : Chief Finance Officer
Supervise, plan and coordinate the activities of a variety of finance and accounting services that may include, but are not limited to, general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, auditing, bond administration, treasury management, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities Include :
· Report financial information in an accurate and timely manner, prepare and provide financial reports to external agencies as required.
· Manage a variety of accounting functions such as general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, auditing, bond administration, treasury management, and financial reporting.
· Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and goals for assigned areas.
· Manage and report on the status of cash and investment accounts.
· Supervise the work of subordinate accountants, accounting assistants, and other assigned staff; assign, direct, monitor and evaluate staff work; plan and coordinate professional development activities; implement corrective action as appropriate.
· Respond to requests from City personnel for information, analysis and assistance; provide advice and guidance to departmental staff.
· Attend meetings, conferences and trainings as required; participate on committees, task forces and work groups as assigned.
- Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
- Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
- Producing long-term business plans
- Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
- Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
- Managing budgets
- Developing and managing financial systems/models
- Carrying out business modelling and risk assessments
- Supervising staff
- Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues.
· Perform related duties as assigned.
Education Background:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field is often required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master's degree or relevant professional certifications.
Professional Certifications:
Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) can enhance credibility and demonstrate expertise in the field OR at least 3-5 years of experience in finance field with proven back-track experience.
Skills:
1. Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
3. Financial Reporting: Knowledge of financial reporting requirements and the ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
4. Risk Management: Understanding of financial risks and the ability to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
5. Taxation: Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements, including corporate tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
6. Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
7. Leadership and Team Management: Experience leading and managing finance and accounting teams, including setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
