(A) MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Oversee the entire construction process, from inception to completion.
  • Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with established plans and specifications.

Resource Allocation

  • Allocate resources such as labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project goals.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors, including negotiation of contracts and agreements.

Budgeting and Cost Control

  • Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
  • Identify and address budget variances promptly.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure construction work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
  • Address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project insurance and claims when necessary.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage construction staff, including project managers, supervisors, and laborers.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.

(B) COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Extensive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects.

Working Experience

  • At least (5) year of working experience in the relevant field is required.

Special Knowledge / Core Competencies

  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction codes and regulations.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

**Willing to travel frequently between Klang Valley and Johor Bahru

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
