Key Responsibilities * To assist with lessons, sport, activities or boarding according to the timetable, ensuring that activities are planned, ordered and effective . * Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for gymnasts, tailored to each individual’s skills and abilities * Provide technical instruction and feedback on the execution of gymnastics skills * Motivate, encourage, and inspire athletes in a positive and safe learning environment * Keep up to date with the latest gymnastics trends * Attend competitions and meets if needed * To work as part of a team, in harmony with and for the furtherance of the College’s ethos and declared educational aims and priorities * To be supportive of the department’s aims, agreed teaching style and other policies * To take a share of supervising duties, invigilation and cover for absent colleagues * To attend Common Room meetings, Master’s briefings and other meetings that may be called from time to time, as required by the Head of School or Master * To report in a timely manner any concerns regarding Child Protection or bullying to the appropriate colleague * To contribute to College’s broad and active co-curricular activities programme * To contribute to the boarding community The duties set out in this document are not intended to be exhaustive, and the successful applicant may be required to carry out such other duties as the Master may reasonably require from time to time Essential Criteria In order to meet the high standards expected of a leading professional in our School, the Master is seeking to employ a person with the following qualities, experience, skills and abilities. * Proven experience as a Gymnastics Coach * Knowledge of gymnastics rules and regulations * Excellent communication and instructional skills * Strong knowledge of safety practices * BSc/BA in Physical Education or relevant field; certifications in gymnastics is a plus * A good honours degree * A lifesaving qualification * The ability to inspire and motivate children * Native level fluency in spoken and written English * Clear and effective communication skills * An ability and willingness to make a significant contribution to the co-curricular life of the School * An ability to relate well to colleagues and children * Approachability, accessibility and flexibility * High levels of organisation * Sympathy with the values and the nature of working in a boarding environment
