Site Supervisor-Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to manage on-site activities for building construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires solid knowledge of building construction practices, effective leadership, and excellent coordination skills.Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor all site operations for residential and/or commercial building projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety and quality issues.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations and ensure all workers follow standard operating procedures.
- Provide on-site instructions and support to subcontractors and site workers.
- Coordinate and monitor on-site job progress to ensure timely completion.
- To ensure construction complies with design and statutory requirements.
- Interpret and execute project blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitor site progress and prepare daily/weekly site reports.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of site activities, inspection records, and safety compliance.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and usage of materials and equipment on-site.
- Ensure the quality of work performed meets required standards and specifications.
- Report and escalate any site issues, delays, or variations to the Project Manager.
- Participate in site meetings and coordinate among various trades to avoid conflicts and delays.
- Maintain labor attendance records and enforce discipline on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements- Minimum [2–5] years of supervisory experience in building construction.
- Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations related to building projects.
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with local building codes and authority submission processes.
- CIDB Green Card and relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH) are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or similar) is an added advantage.
