Primary Job Purpose:

Accountable for carrying out plant and equipment maintenance to achieve high line efficiency with minimal machine downtime, while ensuring that products meet customer requirements, bakery food safety and quality management system standards, and occupational safety and health regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining equipment to achieve high line efficiency, productivity, and optimum capacity.
  • Qualified and registered as a competent Chargeman for ARYZTA Malaysia with the Energy Commission of Malaysia under the Electricity Supply Act & Regulations (11kV).
  • Responsible for the plant’s electrical systems, including planning, operation, safety precautions, and performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-voltage transformers, switchgear, switch rooms, power generators, and buildings. Conduct monthly inspection and testing of the generator set.
  • Ensure the maintenance program in the CMMS is updated and executed according to schedule.
  • Conduct and monitor periodic inspections and supervise contractors on building utility works related to firefighting systems, potable water treatment, wastewater treatment, ammonia refrigerants, air-conditioning servicing, solar panel maintenance, and other relevant building maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all new equipment installations comply with safety requirements and are installed according to electrical specifications.
  • Prepare and generate maintenance/engineering reports and carry out related administrative tasks.
  • Maintain up-to-date document control and filing of service reports, work permits, and other documentation relevant to internal quality and food safety audits.
  • Promote strong interdepartmental teamwork and positive working relationships.
  • Support the Maintenance Planner in inventory and spare parts management.
  • Assist technicians during production machine preventive maintenance within working hours and respond to emergency breakdowns during off-duty hours (on-call).

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Certificate of Chargeman BO (11kV)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of the baking industry is an advantage
  • Familiarity with FSMS, GMP, OSH requirements, and a good understanding of food quality and safety systems
