PROJECT / COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT – Cost & Tender Executive Responsibilities Prepare and compile accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) based on project drawings, technical specs, or client requirements. Coordinate with Engineering, Project, and Sales teams to ensure all quantities and materials are validated. Source pricing and technical datasheets from suppliers and subcontractors for costing purposes. Prepare cost breakdowns and summaries for tenders, proposals, and internal budgeting. Support tender documentation including quotation comparisons, compliance checks, and proposal formatting. Follow up with suppliers on lead time, best pricing, and terms during both tender and procurement stages. Maintain and update costing templates, supplier database, and pricing records for reference. Assist in negotiations and pre/post-award clarifications when required. Expectation: Strong communication skills to coordinate across internal teams and external vendors. Highly organized with the ability to track and manage multiple quotations and cost details. Proactive in seeking out necessary information to complete tasks. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Structured, meticulous and strong in numbers. Adheres to company policies and SOPs. Tech-savvy and willing to learn new digital tools or systems used by the company. Requirements Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS), Engineering, Supply Chain or related field. 1 - 2 years of experience QS, tendering, or procurement-related roles. Familiarity with quotation and costing procedures is an advantage. Responsible with document handling and consistent in follow-up tracking. Positive working attitude, self-motivated, and able to work independently with integrity. Good interpersonal skills and clear communication. Proficient in costing tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word, willing to adapt to accounting system. Good spoken and written communication in English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.
