Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.

Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. We are continuing our transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.

The aim of this internship is to develop students’ interest in the various areas of the industry and experience real life on-the-job working environment.

Responsibilities:

Project Support

  • Assist in project planning, execution and monitoring under the guidance of project managers, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives, providing insights to aid decision making.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including, plans, presentation slides, project timelines and milestones, reports and documentation related to project activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops and events related to project activities.

Administrative support

  • Provide general administrative support to the team, including managing email, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records e.g. meeting minutes.
  • Handle logistical arrangements for team members, such as travel booking and accommodations.
  • Assist in maintaining project files, databases, and documentation systems.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members to ensure alignment on project tasks and deadline.
  • Assist in updating project progress reports and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in drafting communications, including emails, memos and newsletters.

Essential Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related course.
  • Minimum internship period of 6 months is preferred.
  • Proficient in English with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (written & verbal) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge in Video editing, Canva, Data Analytical and Power BI will be an advantage.
