This role involves working closely with clients, the production team, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues, optimize print processes, and maintain equipment. Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical assistance to clients and internal teams regarding print-related issues. • Troubleshoot and resolve printing problems to ensure high-quality output. • Analyse and improve print production processes to enhance efficiency and quality. • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for print operations. • Work directly with clients to understand their printing requirements and provide technical guidance. • Assist in the development of print specifications and ensure they are met. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1.0 Key Result Area: Technical Support 1.1 Major Supporting Activities: • Troubleshoot and resolve printing problems, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure uninterrupted production. • If needed to be on site at customer base to extend support • Manage and coordinate Barrel Proof event with customer and internally 1.2 Expected Outcome: • To ensure customer expectation is met without any negative feedback. • BP schedule is managed well and executed as pre-agreed with customer. 2.0 Key Result Area: Process Optimization 2.1 Major Supporting Area: • Analyze current print production processes and identify areas for improvement 2.2 Expected Outcome: • To solve printability issues during internal proofing either Barrel Proof or production’s cylinder proof. 3.0 Key Result Area: Client Interaction 3.1 Major Supporting Activities: • Provide expert advice on print specifications, materials, and techniques to achieve the desired outcome. 3.2 Expected Outcome: • To advise customer/client on the limitation in printing. AUTHORITY TO MAKE DECISIONS i. Internal Controls • Inks and boards usage. • Colors sequence. ii. Responsibility • Observe and support Barrel Proof / Cylinder Proof iii. Accountability • Barrel Proof Report preparation. • Duty to answer for the success or failure of barrel proof / validation. Education Qualification • A diploma or equivalent is required. • Conversant in English B. Working Experience • Minimum 2-5 years of working experience in FMCG and related industry (e.g. paper printing, plastic printing, ROTO Gravure cylinder making and packaging). C. Skills and Knowledge • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of printing processes, equipment, and materials. • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. • Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team interactions. • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality print outputs. • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently with precision. • Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with different departments and external partners. • Experience: Prior experience in a print support or related technical role within the printing industry is highly desirable.
