JOB DESCRIPTION 1) Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials,inspecting work and overseeing quality control 2) To ensure that all works carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instructions, etc. 3) Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses 4) Manage schedule site security/amenities, subcontractors, equipment delivery, utility interconnections, and services in accordance with pre-determined construction schedule 5) Responsible for project administration and daily operations. Prepares and maintains the project schedule, milestone dates, commissioning, and close-out checklists 6) Responsible for the planning, budgeting and management of assigned development project(s). 7) To provide the planning and coordination work with the concession body, consultants, Authorities and relevant parties 8) To ensure that applicable environmental, safety and health legislative, regulatory and related requirements are fulfilled at project site. 9) Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines 10) Attend metting with client, consultant and sub contractor Background in Quantity Surveyor Technical Skills - Cost Estimation & Planning – Ability to forecast and plan budgets for construction projects. - Tendering & Procurement – Preparing tender documents, analyzing bids, and selecting contractors. - Contract Management – Understanding different types of construction contracts (e.g. FIDIC, JCT, PAM). - Measurement & Quantification – Using standard methods of measurement (e.g. SMM, CESMM, NRM). - Value Engineering – Identifying ways to optimize cost without compromising quality. - Bills of Quantities (BQ) Preparation – Preparing detailed lists of materials, parts, and labor. - Cost Control & Reporting – Monitoring budget during the project lifecycle. - Construction Law & Claims – Knowledge of legal frameworks, variation orders, and claims handling. Soft Skills - Attention to Detail – Accurate calculations and documentations are crucial. - Analytical Thinking – Solving complex cost and project issues. - Negotiation Skills – Dealing with clients, contractors, and suppliers effectively. - Communication Skills – Clear reporting and explanation of financial data to stakeholders. - Time Management – Meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks. - Team Collaboration – Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers. - Problem-Solving – Addressing unforeseen issues on-site or in cost planning. - Ethics & Integrity – Handling confidential cost data and contracts responsibly. Requirement 1 ) Depth knowledge and familiar using with CPM 2) At least 10 years working experienced in the construction industry and familiar with Government Projects 3) Background in Quantity Surveyor
