JOB DESCRIPTIONS:- - Ensuring adherence to the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA) and other relevant regulations - Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate control measures to eliminate or minimize workplace risks - Implementing and maintaining a site and company SMS, ensuring that subcontractors also comply with its requirements - Investigating accidents, near misses, and other incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence - Conducting and coordinating safety training for employees, including new employee induction and specific training for hazardous operations - Developing and maintaining an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and ensuring its effective implementation - Overseeing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and guidelines - Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure proper implementation of safety protocols - Ensuring first aid facilities and worker welfare facilities are in good condition - Communicating safety information to employees and management, and engaging in safety committee meetings JOB REQUIREMENTS:- - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field - At least 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role - Must have valid Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH (Green Book) - Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment and control measures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff at all levels - Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently to drive safety improvements - Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address safety issues
