Die and Mould Fabrication Specialist

Jobscope * Fabricate high precision mould and die components such as cores, cavities, inserts, and sliders using CNC milling machines. * Read and interpret complex 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD files to understand part geometry and tolerances. * Select appropriate workpiece materials (e.g. tool steel, hardened steel, aluminum). * Setup mould base and die sets for precision machining, ensuring correct alignment and clamping. * Perform rough and finish milling operations to produce detailed and accurate features for mould & die parts. * Handle tight-tolerance machining for high-accuracy parts used in mould & dies. * Perform trial fitting and functional testing of mould & die assemblies and components after machining. Qualification * Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in Die an Mould Fabrication, CNC programming, precision component manufacturing. * Strong knowledge of cutting tool technology, speeds & feeds, material behavior (hardened steel, aluminum, copper, etc.). * Able to read and intrpret engineering drawings. * Proficient in CNC machine setup, tool selection, and G-code understanding. * Ability to plan end to end machining processes, including part setup, fixture design, tool selection, and cutting strategies. * Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring junior programmers and machinists. * Able to work cross-functionally with design, production, QA, and tooling departments to ensure smooth project execution. * Good communication skills in technical drawing interpretation and cross-team coordination. * Experience in root cause analysis for machining errors, with ability to implement corrective actions.
