Jobscope: * Incorporate CNC machining (such as cutter radius, toolpath clearance, and fixture design) into the design to ensure smooth prototype manufacturing. * Creating functional prototypes with precision tolerances, paying close attention to dimensional accuracy, surface finishes, and form-fit-function. * Monitor CNC milling during prototyping runs and make real-time adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tool paths as necessary. * Coordinate closely with the grinding team for any finishing processes required for prototype completion. * Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks on prototype parts using appropriate metrology tools (micrometer, dial gauges, etc.). * Identify challenges during the prototyping process and propose improvements in tooling, setup, or part design to reduce time and increase accuracy. * Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, machining, quality control, and production) to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production. * Work at night shift. Qualifications: 1) At least 5 years of working experience in prototyping, or CNC related fabrication. 2) Hands on knowledge of CNC milling machine operations and setup, including tooling, workholding, and G-code basics. 3) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, especially related to mould & die making, precision fabrication, and part finishing. 4) Familiarity with prototyping techniques, including rapid prototyping, manual modifications, and functional testing. 5) Ability to interpret and apply GD&T in designs and inspections. 6) Experience with mechanical testing and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers). 7) Good problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design and machining issues during prototyping.
