About your new role!

We’re looking for a Social Media Team Lead to oversee and drive a leading brand’s social ecosystem — managing the content, community, influencer, and analytics teams for one of Malaysia’s top telco brands. You’ll be the go-to lead for daily social operations, content planning, and performance optimisation — ensuring the brand shows up consistently, creatively, and effectively across platforms.
This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social, understands platform behaviour, and knows how to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role will work on one of Malaysia’s leading Telecommunication providers. You will also get to collaborate with a large and diverse array of other creatives and consultants within GrowthOps.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary and remote-first team, you will take responsibility for:
  • Lead and manage the Social Media team: Content Creators, Community Managers, Social Analysts, and KOL/Influencer Managers
  • Oversee content planning, publishing schedules, and always-on content strategy across platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc.)
  • Review and approve content to ensure brand alignment, quality, and relevance
  • Work closely with strategy, creative, and client servicing teams to drive integrated campaign planning
  • Monitor performance reporting and social listening insights — working with the Social Analyst to optimise output
  • Manage KOL/influencer plans and ensure content delivery aligns with campaign objectives
  • Support social crisis management, escalation processes, and community moderation best practices
  • Be the key client-facing lead for all social-related matters — reporting, recommendations, and planning
What we'd love to see from you
  • 7–10 years in social media management or content marketing, with agency experience preferred
  • Strong team management experience — able to lead and mentor junior and mid-level talent
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms, content formats, and emerging trends
  • Experience with content calendars, performance reporting, and influencer management
  • Comfortable with high-volume, fast-paced content production environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (BM is a plus)
  • Strong client-facing presence — able to present plans, reports, and strategic recommendations with clarity
What you’ll get in return from us
Aside from a great remuneration package and all the flexibility you need to operate at your best, we want to see you thrive and grow with us. Some of the benefits you can expect when you join the team include:
  • Radical Flexibility – we offer you the choice to work where, how and when works best for you, including up to 60 days per year overseas
  • Competitive medical insurance scheme, plus access to our Employee Assistance Program and your own Wellbeing Coach to help you thrive in your new role
  • Access to the GO Academy and 5 study leave days per year, along with a professional development allowance
  • In addition to annual leave, you’ll also get 2 Wellbeing Days off per year and your birthday day off (to celebrate you!)
