Role Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting the Legal Department in delivering a broad range of legal services and advice to various established business units and key stakeholders. The incumbent will provide timely, cost-effective, and practical legal assistance to ensure the company’s operations are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Provide proactive, professional, and competent legal advice and support across a variety of business and operational matters.
- Review, draft, and assist in the negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on issues relevant to the business.
- Monitor and stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and relevant legal developments that may impact the business.
- Liaise with and manage external legal counsels on specific assignments or litigation matters.
- Support in ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and legal obligations.
- Assist in preparing legal documentation and correspondence, including reports, memos, and presentations.
- Maintain legal files and ensure proper record keeping.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with strong academic achievements.
- Bar qualification from a Commonwealth jurisdiction or completed Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm; in-house experience is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of corporate and commercial law.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Able to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, strategic thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Professional, ethical, and able to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all legal matters.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,600.00 - RM5,400.00 per month
