Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Group Finance team to oversee and manage accounting, tax, and treasury functions for local subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with internal financial standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records by overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing monthly financial reports, cash flow analyses, forecasts, and budgets.
- Oversee the management of fixed assets, share registers, loan documentation, property registers, and ensure that these records are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Prepare monthly audit schedules and reconciliation reports, support year-end audits, and assist with tax filing processes. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to local and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts, monthly cash flow reports, and annual budgeting processes, providing key insights to senior management.
- Administer Finance SOPs and ensure the smooth running of the office by supporting administrative functions such as document management, filing systems, and office correspondence.
- Serve as a liaison between the Finance team and other departments to address any accounting-related inquiries or requests. Ensure clear and timely communication of financial performance to internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
- Fluency in Mandarin (both written and spoken).
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to management and stakeholders.
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong integrity, commitment to governance, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
