The Production Manager leads the Production, Warehousing and Logistics of the company’s food products. The candidate is expected to be well-versed with food manufacturing (especially sauce manufacturing) / processing technology and possesses good Workplace Safety and Health practices. JOB DESCRIPTION - Responsible for the daily operations of the manufacturing plant including scheduling, procurement, production, maintenance, logistics, quality, and safety performance - Supervise production plan (Sauce Manufacturing line) and daily schedule to ensure supply requirements and achieve the production target. - Monitoring the inventory control and stock check activities. - To monitor products delivery matter, included on time deliver to customer as per requirements. - Take responsibility for the production planning, coordinate & resolve the unexpected situation quickly. - Assist for the factory workers recruitment, determine posts, provide pre-employment training and ensure a stable mind-set of the workers. - Take responsibility to transmit knowledge to factory labour eg. fire safety, on-job-training, and production management to ensure proper operation and production safety. - Arrange reasonable overtime (OT) and improve production & manufacturing productivity. - Built a complete quality production system, improve the rules & regulations of the production department, and ensure a balance process with good coordination. - Ensuring regulatory and authorities’ requirements are met, including licensing, permits, certificates and other relevant approvals are obtained and renewed on time (FSSC, HACCP, GMP and etc.). - Involved in R&D of sauces - Other duties assigned by superior or senior management. REQUIREMENTS - Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in food industry (plant-based sauce manufacturing). - Minimum a diploma equivalent or higher qualification related to food manufacturing industry. - Well-versed with factory automation and manufacturing technology - Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act - Manage manpower planning and shift rotations where applicable. - Prepare operations report for submission to management including progressive status updates on production KPI, performance, workplace safety; etc. - Work with the sales & marketing team, to identify market opportunities by analysing market share, competitor products and continually seeking new/untapped opportunities. - Keep proper document and record all work in databases, including recipes, preparation lists and ordering databases. - Develop innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability. - Conduct audit and evaluation of quality assessment and qualification for all material suppliers (local and international). - To ensure that all SOPs for food quality and safety, fulfils the local / international certification requirements. - Maintain ongoing communication with different stakeholders to share on emerging new ingredients, packaging and technology. - Oversee attainment of relevant certifications for the company (including but not limited to SFA, FSSC 22000, BRC, Halal, Koscher, FDA, EU, Organic etc.) - Oversee the quality of the sauce production and products are delivered on time with minimum wastages. - Ensure the factory quality standards are adhered to and conforms to statutory & safety requirements. - To maintain, upkeep and handle cleanliness of the production and warehousing floorspace. - Address areas of non-compliance and possible solutions to prevent future re-occurrence. - Good communication and leadership skills. - Good interpersonal skill. - Proactive, keen attitude, diligent, resourceful, and strong problem-solving skills
