Resident Advisor

• Providing emotional support to children who are experiencing difficulties with their families or adjusting to new situations • Providing supervision and guidance to children to help them develop socially and emotionally • Assisting with homework and other school projects • Preparing nutritious meals for children and ensuring that they are eaten at appropriate times • Coordinating recreational activities, such as sports or music lessons, for children • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for children in their care, including providing basic home keeping services such as changing linens and cleaning floors • Teaching children about good nutrition and hygiene practices • Counseling children who are experiencing behavioral problems or other issues that affect their well-being • Coordinating activities with other members of the staff team, including teachers and therapists who work with the children Requirements and skills • Concern for the wellbeing of young people • Understanding of students' needs and cultural differences • Sense of responsibility • Good leadership skills • Good organisational skills • Able to work closely with others in a community setting • Able to cope with the physical demands of the job. • Have first aid certificate is advantageous. • Able to demonstrate good relationship with the children • Able to communicate in English • Plus point for foreign language speaker (Japanese, Korean, French, Thai, Mandarin, etc)
