Role Description
The Senior Warehouse & Logistics Executive is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of medical equipment and supplies. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, timely deliveries, inventory accuracy, and continuous process improvement in alignment with regulatory and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular stock takes and system reconciliation.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse facility.
- Implement and improve warehouse layout and space utilization.
Logistics Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Optimize transportation routes and shipping methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Handle import/export documentation and liaise with customs or freight forwarders when needed.
Team Management:
- Lead and guide warehouse and logistics staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and company policies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and ensure a culture of safety and accountability.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with medical equipment storage requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records and generate regular reports on inventory, logistics KPIs, and warehouse productivity.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure non-conforming goods are properly handled and documented.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in warehousing and logistics processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on supply chain optimization initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics roles, preferably in the medical equipment or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., ERP/WMS).
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and transportation management.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
