FLUENCY IN TAGALOG IS A MUST Job Summary HIS Travel Malaysia Sdn Bhd is looking for a passionate and experienced Sales & Operations Manager to lead the development and management of inbound travel from the Philippines to Malaysia. This role will work closely with HIS Philippines and local partners to expand market share, drive bookings, and ensure exceptional service for Filipino travelers. Fluency in Tagalog is MUST for effective communication and cultural connection with clients and collaborators. Key Responsibilities: • Market Development & Sales Growth: o Develop and execute strategies to attract more Filipino tourists to Malaysia through tailored travel packages and promotions. o Work in close collaboration with H.I.S. Philippines and local travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients to increase inbound business. o Promote Malaysia tour products (FIT, GIT, MICE, themed tours) specifically designed for the Philippine market. o Build and maintain strong partnerships with Philippine tourism government bodies, including the Department of Tourism (DOT), tourism boards, chambers, and embassies, to promote Malaysia as a preferred destination. • End-to-End Travel Operations: o Manage the complete travel process from quotation and confirmation to guest departure and post-travel support. o Customize itineraries and handle booking requests, changes, special needs, and documentation efficiently and accurately. • Partnerships & B2B Relationships: o Act as the key liaison for Philippine-based partners, ensuring smooth coordination and long-term collaboration. o Coordinate with hotels, resorts, DMCs, transportation providers, and local suppliers in Malaysia to ensure top-tier service for Filipino guests. • Tagalog-Language Communication: o Use Tagalog fluency to connect authentically with clients and stakeholders from the Philippines, and to support localization of sales materials and promotions. o Provide culturally sensitive service and communication to meet expectations of the Filipino market. • Campaigns & Promotions: o Support or lead marketing campaigns, social media content, FAM trips, and roadshows targeting the Philippine travel market. o Work closely with H.I.S. Philippines to design and launch joint marketing activities that align with travel trends and customer preferences. • Performance Tracking: o Analyze booking trends, client feedback, and market performance to refine sales strategies. o Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and recommend actions to improve productivity and profitability. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, or a related field. • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the travel and tour industry, with a proven focus on the Philippine market. • Strong understanding of Philippine outbound travel behavior, booking channels, and customer expectations. • Established network and experience working with Philippine tourism government bodies and associations. • Fluent in Tagalog and English (both spoken and written) is a MUST. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. • Proficient in using reservation systems, travel CRM platforms, and basic financial tracking. • Ability to multitask and manage operational details while maintaining a client-focused mindset.
