Job Title: Process Technician
Job Summary:
Oversees and controls production processes, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet quality standards. Troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Monitoring and Control:
o Monitor production processes to ensure they operate within specified parameters.
o Adjust machinery and equipment settings to optimise performance.
2. Process Improvement:
o Suggest modifications to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
3. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
o Identify and resolve issues in the production process to minimise downtime.
o Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
o Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations or quality issues.
4. Quality Assurance:
o Develop maintenance procedures & schedules, and ensure good implementation.
o Document process data and quality metrics for compliance and reporting.
5. Equipment Maintenance:
o Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
o Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.
o Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
6. Safety and Compliance:
o Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
o Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or incidents.
o Implement good 5S management for systematic, traceable, clean and safety workplace.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of production data, maintenance activities, and process changes.
o Prepare reports on process performance, issues, and improvements.
o Ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
8. Training and Support:
o Train new operators on processes and equipment.
o Provide technical support to production teams as needed.
9. Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as and when required by superior.
Qualifications:
ü Education: Diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in a technical field (e.g. electrical or mechanical) is preferred.
ü Experience: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
ü Technical Skills:
o Proficient in operating and maintaining industrial machinery.
o Good knowledge in process control systems (e.g. PLCs).
o Familiar with quality assurance principles and tools.
ü Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
o Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
o Effective communication and teamwork skills.
ü Work Environment:
Typically works in manufacturing or production facility.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
