Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Finance Executive to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing financial transactions related to shipping operations, including budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, logistics, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes within the shipping department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and manage all shipping-related financial transactions, including freight charges, port fees, and agency costs.

- Prepare and verify shipping invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors, agents, and port authorities.

- Collaborate with the shipping team to reconcile shipping costs against budgets and forecasts.

- Maintain accurate financial records for shipping operations in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to shipping activities.

- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

- Support in the preparation of shipping budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis reports.

- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs duties, and tax implications related to financial transactions.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations related to shipping finances.

- Proactively identify process improvements and implement financial controls to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

- 2–4 years of experience in finance, preferably in a shipping, logistics, or maritime industry.

- Strong understanding of shipping operations, port charges, and international trade financial practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, SQL).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
