The Operation Manager shall be in charge of overseeing the smooth running of overall company operations, manage construction projects, resolving operational issues, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and employee performance. This shall include the formulation of company policies, setting company culture and implementing of company procedures and policies from Singapore headquarters to the subsidiary. The job scope shall encompass the following: • Establishing business networks and relationships with clients & suppliers for business expansion. • Prepare Project schedule, forecasting engineering activities and procurement of materials required for project to ensure timely completion of project. • Oversee project team and appraise their performance and ensure project are completed according to project schedule. • Assigned tasks and dead line, Conflict management, problem solving, prioritising, resources allocation and decision making • Oversee the overall planning of M&E works, site inspection, variation order and certification of work done for all assigned projects. • Prepare and monitor project budgets to control cost and kept to clients’ budget requirements and ensure timely submission of monthly progress claim. • Monitor the work progress of engineers, coordinators and sub-contractors and ensure M&E works are in compliance to the Company’s and authorities’ requirements and schedule. • Plan and oversee testing, commissioning of the systems and activities, provide advice and decision on all project related matters such as reviewing of project related drawings and other materials prepared by the Engineers and Coordinators to ensure there is no discrepancies and/or conflicts with the architectural and structural elements. • Provide technical write up before submitting for tender submissions. • Review quotations and discount for approval by management for tender submission. • Oversee the invitation of sub-contractors for tenders. • Escalation of project matters and concerns to management team. • Monitor the project safety (EHS matter) & QMS (Quality Management), make precise decision to stop, enhance or move forward whenever necessary. • Any other adhoc duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • At least 10 years of relevant experience as CM or PM in Construction industry, preferably with Semiconductors/Pharmaceutical industry exposure. • Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years relevant experience. • Must have valid CIDB SICW/e-SICW qualification as either Site Supervisor or Construction Manager. • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. • Prefer to have clean room construction experience but not a must. • Good working knowledge of construction industry. • Good interpersonal skills and leadership skills. • Good English communication skills and report writing skills. • Both a team player and the ability to work independently. • Highly motivated individuals with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
