Key Responsibilities: Purchasing & Procurement: Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies based on departmental requests. Evaluate vendors/suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability. Ensure all purchasing complies with hotel standards and budgets. Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary. Maintain proper inventory records using hotel systems (e.g., MC, BirchStreet, SAP). Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances. Receiving & Quality Control: Inspect goods upon delivery for quality, quantity, and specification compliance. Work closely with Receiving Clerks and Storekeepers. Cost Control & Budgeting: Assist in managing procurement budgets. Monitor pricing trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives. Documentation & Reports: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier correspondence. Generate monthly consumption and purchase reports. Coordination & Communication: Liaise with departments such as F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Finance to fulfill their material needs. Build good relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
