Production Support - Project Planning & Management Production Engineering  Thoroughly assess engineering drawings to understand design specifications, tolerances and material requirements  Analyze customers drawing to determine material types, required machinery and manufacturing methods  Develop detailed plans for fabrication processes, considering the details outlined in engineering drawings  Prepare and create sketch engineering drawings for internal use and as reference for the suppliers  Proactively recommend technical solutions and methods to meet customer requirements  Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal production departments to address any technical issues and critical parts  Conduct inspections on samples received from suppliers and customers to understand requirements and specifications  Identify and assess sub-contractor capabilities, capacities and follow up with sub-contractor activities  Continuously evaluate and optimize fabrication processes based on feedback from engineering drawings, aiming for efficiency and cost-effectiveness  Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during fabrication, referring to engineering drawings for guidance in resolving technical challenges  Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, proposing enhancements to fabrication methods based on insight from engineering drawings Quality Assurance  Implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout project life cycle  Implement quality control measures based on engineering drawing specifications to guarantee precision and integrity of fabricated components  Perform quality checks and inspections on the production line and reviews to verify compliance with project requirements and quality criteria  Review work orders to understand project requirements  Ensure project deliverable meet or exceed established quality standards and specifications Team Coordination & Communication  Engage in collaborative discussions with engineering teams to clarify drawing details, technical information, address discrepancies and suggest improvements for manufacturing ability  Work closely with cross-functional teams including operation managers, engineers, sales, purchasing, quality teams and relevant departments to ensure customer commitments align with production capabilities  Mentor production team, recommending preventive actions, handling technical methods and providing solutions. Report to Operation Manager.  Maintain regular communication with Operation Manager and engineers on drawing specifications and any deviations from the engineering drawing  Collaborate with material procurement teams to ensure availability of specified materials outlined in the engineering drawings Documentation and Reporting  Identify and escalate production issues promptly to Head of Department or Manager  Maintain systematic approach to document control, ensuring accurate record-keeping of engineering drawings and associated changes  Ensure documentation compliance with industry standards and regulations  Engage with customer complaints promptly and efficiently, ensuring appropriate solution is provided Engineering Support  Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in project execution  Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project execution  Implement and execute organization management system procedures  May be assigned to perform other duties at a lower or higher level of proficiency Sales Technical Support  Assist in the design of mechanical parts  Provide technical assistance to customers, sales team and other stakeholders  Address inquiries related to product specifications, features and technical capabilities  Assist in the resolution of post-sales technical issues, working closely with customers and engineers to address concerns  Collaborate with sales team to ensure alignment on technical aspects of customer orders and address technical issues or challenges during the sales process  Provide ongoing support to sales representatives, addressing technical queries and concerns  Participate in cross-functional meetings to align technical and sales strategies  Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer orders and modifications Training and Managing Staff  Provide training to production teams on interpreting and implementing engineering drawings accurately and on quality control and engineering and inspection techniques  Address issues pertaining to employee grievances and misconduct Self-Development  Stay updated on technological advancements  Stay updated on advancement in engineering and project management methodologies  Stay updated on new product development and enhancements  Stay informed about industry-specific trends, regulations and best practices  May be required to meet certain certifications in field
