You’re a clear communicator—whether that’s drafting documentation, engaging with stakeholders, or supporting awareness initiatives across the group. You’re also comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting into the detail, whether it’s updating records of processing, supporting the delivery of training, or handling a variety of queries from across the group. Day-to-day, you will: • Support with continuously improving Access’ compliance maturity against data protection laws applicable to Access • Support with the identification and implementation of remedial actions re. data protection compliance • Identification, monitoring and mitigation of data protection risks across the business • Support with the fulfilment of Data Subject Rights Requests • Respond to internal queries regarding data protection and escalate where appropriate • Respond to complaints regarding data protection and escalate where appropriate • Promote and raise group awareness of the data protection team in a manner consistent with the culture and tone set More generally you will: • Support on internal audits to monitor and measure compliance with data protection laws applicable to Access • Support with updates of the data protection eLearning • Support with identifying and achieving relevant accreditations and standards • Support with the roll-out of new and updated data protection policies, processes, notices etc., • Assist with maintenance of the Records of processing • Support the completion of legitimate interest assessments • Support with the maintenance of required registrations with supervisory authorities • Work with the Data Protection Officer to identify, develop and manage key data protection objectives, policies and processes that scale efficiently with the successful continuous growth of Access Skills and experience: • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills • A real passion for data protection and contributing to team knowledge • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams within Access, including information security, sales and marketing, product development, HR, Legal, and others • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team • Good knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR and PECR • Experience working in the technology sector • A high degree of self-awareness and judgement • A strong communicator, both in writing and spoken communications Desirable skills and experience: • Experience working in a large global organisation • Experience working in a data protection team/function • A data protection qualification What are we all about?
