Cleaning Supervisor – Homestay/Airbnb Operator
The Cleaning Supervisor plays a key role in managing cleaning operations across multiple Airbnb units within residential properties. This includes supervising cleaners, inspecting units for cleanliness and functionality, and ensuring a smooth turnover process for guest check-ins. The supervisor is also responsible for stock management—tracking incoming supplies and monitoring usage to prevent loss, waste, or shortages. This role directly impacts guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cleaning & Turnover Operations: • Supervise the daily cleaning and preparation of units based on booking schedules. • Ensure cleanliness in all areas: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and balconies. • Make sure linens, towels, toiletries, and welcome kits are neatly arranged and replenished. 2. Electrical & Appliance Inspections: • Before guest check-ins, ensure all electrical switches, light fixtures, power sockets, and appliances (TV, refrigerator, water heater, air conditioning, etc.) are in working condition. • Test Wi-Fi connectivity, remote controls, and smart devices. • Report any issues to the maintenance team and follow up until resolution. 3. Staff Supervision: • Manage, train, and monitor a team of cleaners. • Create cleaning schedules based on occupancy and ensure all tasks are completed on time. • Maintain discipline, track attendance, and support team productivity. 4. Quality Control: • Perform final unit inspections before guest check-ins to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and functionality standards are met. • Address any last-minute issues or guest feedback related to housekeeping or appliances. 5. Stock & Inventory Management: • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing stock for all consumables (toiletries, cleaning materials, linen, kitchenware, etc.). • Verify stock deliveries and ensure correct quantity and quality. • Monitor daily usage and restock levels across all units to avoid shortages. • Report low stock levels and prepare restocking requests. • Prevent misuse, loss, or theft of company inventory by maintaining an organized stock tracking system. 6. Health & Safety Compliance: • Ensure cleaning staff follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment. • Maintain hygiene standards and proper waste disposal practices. • Conduct regular checks to ensure safe conditions in all units. 7. Coordination & Reporting: • Coordinate closely with the Operations team to handle urgent turnovers, guest requests, and schedule changes. • Maintain daily checklists, inspection logs, and inventory records. • Report issues or damages in units and follow up with the relevant department until resolved. Requirements & Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of experience in cleaning supervision, preferably in Airbnb or hotel environments. • Familiarity with residential appliances and basic troubleshooting. • Strong attention to detail and quality control. • Experience in inventory or stock management is a must
