  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

About the Company

Our client is a reputable and expanding company with operations across the region. To strengthen their tax function, they are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Tax Manager to support tax compliance and planning initiatives at both local and regional levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing corporate tax, indirect tax (SST/GST), and other tax-related matters for the group.
  • Prepare and review tax computations and ensure timely submission of tax filings and payments.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants on tax queries and audits.
  • Support in tax planning initiatives and assess tax implications of business transactions.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and provide updates and recommendations to management.
  • Assist in preparing tax provisions for statutory reporting and internal reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and internal policies.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and related party transaction reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CTIM is an advantage.
  • At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in tax, either in a commercial or Big 4/medium-tier firm.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian tax regulations; exposure to regional tax is a plus.
  • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision.
