Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, drive productivity, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. You will oversee production planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution:
- Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet demand forecasts
- Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and take corrective action as needed
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve issues and reduce rework or rejections
- Implement SOPs and maintain ISO/industry compliance
People Management:
- Supervise and lead production supervisors, operators, and technicians
- Train, motivate, and develop team members for performance and safety
- Handle workforce planning, shift scheduling, and conflict resolution
Maintenance & Equipment Efficiency:
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Monitor machine uptime, efficiency (OEE), and implement productivity improvements
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with factory safety norms
- Conduct regular safety drills and participate in audits or inspections
Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing:
- Identify areas for process improvement and lead lean manufacturing initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Strong knowledge of production processes, resource planning, and ERP systems
- Familiarity with lean tools and continuous improvement techniques
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
