Responsibilities:

General:

  • To lead the project team on project delivery within cost, time, quality and safety requirement with full professionalism.

  • To take lead on authority application & submission, design management, tender management, construction management and post construction activities

  • To ensure all the Design Development and Project Management protocols are followed by all project stakeholders.

  • To ensure company policies and procedures are being followed by team members.

  • To review and endorse project design related document.

  • To ensure project are executed according to operation manual and company standard.

  • To ensure company policies and procedures are being followed by team members.

  • To assist Project Director on project management system establishment in local context and improving work methodology.

  • To take lead and chair project progress meeting.

  • To review the design drawing to ensure constructability, safety and value engineering.

  • To take lead in construction planning and methodology and ensure they are translated into design drawing.

  • To support tender and procurement process by reviewing and contributing to the technical specifications.

Construction Stage/ Construction Management

  • Provide technical guidance and resolve design-related issues during the construction phase

  • To take lead on local authority application & submission, design management, tender management, construction management and project close out.

  • Review and address all technical queries and RFIs (Requests for Information) related to design.

  • Responsible for technical coordination between design consultants and contractor.

  • Ensure that all design changes are accurately documented and communicated to the relevant teams.

  • Coordination for design/ procurement/ contract administration.

  • To chair site meeting with client, contractor, consultant and other project stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and relevant codes/standards.

  • Verify workmanship and material quality on site, raising non-conformance reports (NCR) where necessary.

  • Liaise closely with the contractor’s site team, consultants, and other disciplines to coordinate construction activities and resolve site issues.

  • Attend and lead technical coordination meetings, site inspections, and walkdowns.

  • Ensure smooth interface between civil/structural works and other trades (architectural, M&E, etc.).

  • Track and verify the contractor’s progress against the construction schedule

  • Provide daily/weekly site reports, highlighting progress, delays, quality issues, and risk items.

  • Ensure all construction works meet the required quality standards and are constructed safely, establish clear QA/QC protocol.

  • Monitor contractor's compliance with site safety procedures and local regulations.

  • Participate in safety walks and quality audits.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Good design knowledge and skills, specializing in industrial project and industrial township design.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and solid technical know-how on local and foreign design standards, code, and regulations.

  • Experience in Design Consultancy, Project Planning and Project Management Consultancy

  • At least 8 years of experience on Project Management/ Design Consulting Practice/ Construction Management

  • Experience in Fastrack and Industrial Projects

  • Proactiveness and good work ethic

  • Team player, strong people management skills and leadership skills

  • Good working attitude and proactive

  • Responsible, decisive, strong level of self-motivation, initiatives, results oriented and strong sense of confidentiality

  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, MS office, Microsoft Project, and other Design Software

  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willing to travel and be seconded to project site during construction stage.
