MANAGER/ ASST FINANCE MANAGER
Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, tax laws).
Lead the annual budgeting and planning process.
Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Optimize financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and development opportunities.
Liaise with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and other external stakeholders.Line-manage all members of the finance team, to develop their skills both individually and as a team so that they can provide the best service for the department. This will include the induction, appraisal, and performance management of team members.
Collaborate with the Management, undertake any other duties or tasks that may be reasonably required by the Management that may be reasonably foreseen through proactive role engagement and deal with matters arising in a timely and effective manner.
Educational Qualifications:Languages: Must be proficient in Mandarin (both spoken and written) to communicate effectively with key clients.
Diploma or Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, etc.).
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in a related field, preferably in finance, accounting, or auditing.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledgeable in local tax laws, auditing, and accounting standards.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and relevant accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Additional Skills:
Experience in handling full set of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Knowledge of MPERS (Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard) and company-specific internal policies.
