
QA/QC CHIEF ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the QA/QC team across all project phases, including design verification, site inspections, material approvals, and final testing.
*Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and relevant Malaysian standards (MS, JKR specifications, CIDB guidelines).
*Review technical specifications, method statements, and shop drawings for QA/QC alignment.
*Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure quality expectations are met and approved.
*Conduct internal and external audits (suppliers, subcontractors) and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
*Monitor material approvals, test reports, and third-party certifications, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
*Maintain quality documentation and prepare monthly quality reports and NCR analysis for management review.
*Provide QA/QC training and mentorship to project staff and ensure quality culture is upheld across the project team.
*Oversee handover documentation, QA/QC dossier preparation, and As-Built verifications.
*Manage risk assessments relating to quality and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are in place.
Requirements:
Education:
*Bachelor's degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
*Additional certifications in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.) are preferred.
Experience:
*Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction or engineering projects.
*At least 5 years in a senior or leadership QA/QC role.
*Familiar with Malaysian laws, CIDB Act, ISO standards, and local authority submission processes.
Skills:
*Strong leadership and communication skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC documentation software.
* Detail-oriented, analytical, and systematic thinker.
* Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,200.00 per month
