1) Provide suggestions to the company on the measures to be taken for the safety and health of employees in the workplace;

2) Inspect the workplace to determine if there are any machinery, devices, or equipment that may cause bodily harm to anyone working at the workplace;

3) Coordinate and assist managers in monitoring and assessing risks, and identify, assess, and control health hazards in all aspects of production operations through any risk assessment tool such as Hazard (HIRARC).

4) Investigate any work-related accidents, potential accidents, hazards, occupational injuries, or occupational diseases;

5) Assist employers or safety and health committees (if any) in organizing and implementing workplace occupational safety and health programs in accordance with Article 11 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committees) Regulations 1996 [P.U. (A) 616/96];

6) According to Article 6 (2) of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Commission) Regulations 1996, and to perform all the functions of a secretary as stipulated in the regulations;

7) Assist the Safety and Health Committee in conducting inspections to verify the effectiveness and efficacy of compliance measures, and comply with any regulations enacted under the Act or any laws and regulations based on the Act;

8) Collect, analyze, and maintain any accidents, hazardous incidents, occupational poisoning, and occupational diseases that occur in the workplace;

9) Assist any official in complying with the Act or assist relevant government agencies in conducting all inspections under the Act, such as Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA), and others.

10) Advice and assistance to employers to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and requirements [DOSH (PMA and PMT), Fire Safety Act (Building Fire Protection Certificate, Fire Protection)

11) Coordinate the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to prepare for emergency response and preparedness.

12) Develop an annual safety and health-related training plan and coordinate internal or external training courses (if necessary).

13) Ensure that the designated fire contractor of the company conducts regular inspections (at least once every 3 months) in accordance with the contract agreement to comply with the requirements of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) at the company premises.

14) Assist the employer in ensuring that all fire-fighting equipment in the factory is in order, including the buildings and office buildings.

15) Manage the safety information of outsourced drivers/contractors/visitors by providing sufficient safety measures, and ensure that hazardous information is provided to all workers.

16) Raise awareness of safety and health, and promote workplace safety culture through promotional activities, billboards, consultations, and other related programs.

17) Execute any other instructions related to workplace safety and health issued by the company or superiors.

Job Requirement:

More than 3 years of safety and health related work experience in manufacturing enterprises with a scale of over 500 employees;

Master the application ability of ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems in the manufacturing industry;

College degree or above in occupational health and safety or related majors;

Hold a professional qualification certificate in occupational health and safety management or related fields.
