PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSISTANT/ PHYSIO TECHNICIAN
Scope of works:
1. To assist therapist with patient treatments
2. To administer wax, hot pack and ice as instructed by physiotherapist
3. To assist sales of rehab medical supplies
4. To ensure clean linen especially towels, pillow cases and blankets
5. To ensure that department is always kept clean and hazard free
6. To responsible and ensure the proper usage and care of all equipment in the department
7. To responsible and ensure the proper usage care of Emergency trolley (E-trolley) when necessary.
8. Porterage in and out patients to ward/clinic transport when needed.
9. To help maintain departments records.
10. To pick up stock at purchasing store for urgent item.
11. Ordering the stock (disposable and consignment items) and inventory checking.
12. Help to maintain stock items in consignment and disposable.
13. To update bin card
14. To ensure infection control precautions are adhered to
15. To handle incoming calls and convey message to staff
16. Involve in kaizen and other departmental activities
17. Involve in other hospital activities
18. To collect physiotherapy referral form
19. To register patient and make out-patient appointment
20. To schedule outpatient and inpatient appointments as instructed by therapist
21. To manage out-patient billing as necessary
22. To ensure appropriate billing of all patients when necessary
23. To ensure Guarantee letter provided for panel patient
24. To assist filing and photocopy of necessary documents
25. To assist to update appointment records
26. To encourage patient compliance to appointments by good customer relationship and direct communications to remind patients of appointments.
27. To comply with Company policies, Health and Safety policies.
28. To wear or use at all times any personal protective equipment or clothing provided by the Management AWCSH for the purpose of preventing risks to his/her safety and health.
29. To take reasonable care at workplace for the safety of oneself, others and to comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety, health and environment as required.
30. Report unsafe practice, conditions or near misses, accidents & incidents and hazard to the superior and complete the Incident Report Form for each accident / incident.
31. To perform other related duties as assigned.
32. To be responsible as a cashier for Physiotherapy Department.
33. Responsible for Home Physiotherapy, TruCare2U duties as assigned.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
