Role Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and development of a new facility in Malaysia. This role involves managing the legal entity registration process, assessing location options, coordinating with various teams to meet business and quality requirements, and overseeing the investment requirements for launch new services.

  • Manage the legal entity registration process in Malaysia, ensuring compliance with local regulations and requirements.

  • Liaise with local authorities and legal advisors to secure necessary approvals and permits.

  • Assess various location options for the new services facility, considering factors such as accessibility, infrastructure, and cost.

  • Conduct potential new services station site visits and feasibility assessment to evaluate potential locations.

  • Collaborate with the team to identify a facility that meets the business requirements, including space, layout, and operational needs.

  • Ensure the selected facility aligns with the strategic goals and objectives of the business.

  • Work closely with the quality leader to support Malaysia's quality certification requirements.

  • Ensure that the facility meets all necessary quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with the services engineering team to identify the initial set of repairs to be launched at the new facility.

  • Ensure that the services processes and procedures are in place and meet industry standards.

  • Collaborate with the services engineering and quality teams to develop investment requirements for the launch repairs.

  • Prepare detailed investment plans, including budget estimates, resource allocation, and timelines.

The Ideal Candidate:

Ideal candidate will be able to collaborate will be able to lead the integrated project team (IT leader, facilities leader & local leadership) to develop a daily operating cadences to execute on the project plan. The candidate should be able to influence across several functions to keep the project plan on schedule and budget. The candidate should escalate for help and provide alternative if project timeline and budget is at risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience in managing facility development projects, preferably in an international setting.

  • 5-6 years of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of local regulations, building codes, and industry standards in Malaysia.
