JOB TITLE: Social Media & Content Associate

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Mandatory due to hands-on content creation)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Social Media & Content Associate to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you’ll be the voice of Purpose on social platforms — engaging with our vibrant community, managing daily content schedules, and helping create compelling stories that inspire endurance athletes across the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Management & Engagement

  • Manage Purpose Performance Wear’s social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Schedule and publish daily content in alignment with campaign calendars and brand voice
  • Monitor community activity, respond to comments, DMs, and mentions to build and maintain strong relationships with our audience
  • Proactively engage with athletes, partners, and ambassadors to foster connection and visibility
  • Track engagement metrics, identify trends, and support performance reporting

Content Planning & Creation

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm, plan, and execute content strategies for launches, races, community events, and brand campaigns
  • Assist in content creation — including drafting captions, capturing behind-the-scenes visuals, coordinating with athletes, and assembling short-form video edits
  • Support the creation of visual and written content across platforms — from race day recaps to athlete features to educational reels
  • Maintain content asset libraries and ensure on-brand visuals are readily available for use

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content-related roles (internships included)
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and current trends
  • Passion for endurance sports and/or active lifestyle culture (triathlon, cycling, running, etc.) is a big plus
  • Strong writing skills with an ability to match tone, adapt voice, and tell stories
  • Basic skills in photo/video editing (Canva, CapCut, Lightroom, or similar)
  • Self-starter with good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, community-driven brand environment
  • Due to the nature of the job, interstate and international travel will be required
