- Liaise on behalf of the Company with appointed client OSH Personnel, local government authorities and agencies such as DOSH, NIOSH, JBE&G, CIDB, DOE, BOMBA, LPTA and etc.
- Plan and organize the OSH audit and review via the safety and health implementation plan & program, and act as a focal point for all external audit by Clients or local authorities with respect to the hazards identification and control in the work site.
- Review the effectiveness of the Company's safety performance and report to Project Manager/ Project Director.
- Develop and review standards (e.g. Safety & Health Manual) and procedures (e.g. Site Safety Procedures) with Project Manager when required in order to improve OSH related matters.
- Monitor and ensure the overall implementation of the OSH system, procedure and practice are being carried out in a proper manner.
- Monitor Site Safety Representative and Site Supervisor in daily safety checklist and conducting the accident investigation and recommend remedial action with the consent of Project Manager.
- Receive and collate accident/incident from all project and produce statistical analysis for Project Manager and monthly submission to client.
- Provide training on OSH related subjects to all middle management staff and site employees.
- Preparation and documentation of monthly OSH Report.
- Carry out any other instructions made by the Employer/Client on any matter pertaining the OSH at Worksite.
- To ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environment (S.H.E) policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.
Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or its equivalent.
- At least 5-8 years of working experience in HSE for construction industry, especially in construction site safety & health plan and implementation.
- Experienced in MRT / LRT field would be added benefit.
- Competent Green Book – JKKP Registration.
- Familiar with OSHA and other statutory requirements.
- Familiar with ISO 54001 standards.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
